Preliminary study on the tolerance of two wheat varieties of Triticum aestivum L. to the crude oil at the whole and cellular level

In an attempt to enhance crude oil tolerance in tissue cultures and intact plants of Triticum aestivum L., several experiments were carried out. Callus was induced using embryos isolated from the seeds of the two wheat varieties (Abu Ghraib-3 and Dijila) which were used as explants. Callus was induced and maintained on Murashige and Skoog, 1962 medium (MS) supplemented with (0.5) mg/l kinetin and (2) mg/l 2,4-D. Crude oil was added to the culture medium at different concentrations as a contaminating agent.

Protective Effect of Lactobacillus plantarum and Lactobacillus casei used as probiotic agent against enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli in vitro and in vivo

Two isolates of Lactic acid bacteria (Lactobacillus plantarum and Lactobacillus casei) were obtained from previous study. Impact of Psychological Stress on Some Hematological, Reproductive, and Hormonal Parameters of Al-Jaderriya Campus Students

In this study, the influence of psychological stress on male reproductive health and certain hematological and hormonal parameters was investigated. Ninety-eight healthy male students from Al-Jaderriya compass of Nahrain University were included in the study. The full medical history of subjects was studied. Depending on questionnaire form, 44 of subjects were classified as non-stressed (NS group) (age = 21.68 ± 0.29 years), while 27 subjects were moderately stressed (MS group) (age = 21.88 ± 0.39 years).
