Molecular Study on Streptococcus pneumoniae Isolated from Patients Suffering From Respiratory Tract Infection Using RAPD-PCR Technique

 A total of 53 sputum samples were collected from patients suffering from respiratory tract infections attending different hospitals in Baghdad and Al-Anbar (Ramadi) governorates during the period between November /2009 and March /2010. From these samples only fifty bacterial isolates were obtained and identified.

Cytotoxic Study Of Artemisia herba-alba Extraction On S.U.99 Plasmacytoma Cell Line And Some Aspects Of Mice Immune Response

  This study was designed to determine the biological effect of diethyl ether extract of Artemisia herba-alba on mice immune response, normal and tumor cell line and visceral organs. Effect of Some Plant Extracts in Bacterial Plasmids curing

Hexane and methanolic extract of dried aerial parts of Salix acomophylla, Urtica dioica and Calendula officinalis were tested for their antimicrobial and curing activity against two microorganisms: Pseudomonas aeruginosa RB19 and Klebsiella pneumoniae MR1.Chemical investigation on these extracts showed that Salix acomophylla, Urtica dioica and Calendula officinalis methanolic extracts contain flavonoids, glycosides and saponins while the hexane extracts contain terpens.The in vitro test showed that a
