Design and implementation of a hearing aid circuit

Abstract: Hearing disorders are the most prevalent disabling conditions reported all over the world, that affect about 10% of the population. It adversely affects physical, cognitive, behavioral, and social functions, as well as the general quality of live. The first electrical hearing instruments was introduced 100 years ago, but only about 20% of those who could benefit from hearing aids wear them, moreover, surveys suggested that about only 50% of hearing aid users are satisfied with their hearing instruments. This indicates hearing technology even today is a prominent research area.

Modifying manually driven wheelchair to an electrically powered wheelchair by using PWM motion driver

Abstract: Indoor wheelchairs can be used for limited needs users, especially people with lower limb paralysis or spinal cord injuries which require limited speed motion. The aim of this study is to modify the actual design of the manual driven wheelchair to an electrically powered wheelchair. Controlling method for speed and motion was used and constructed using MULTISIM program Version (9). Feedback controlling system using Tachometer feedback voltage signal is used which make the system more stable. This method was chosen from many ways to control the DC motor.

Unsupervised segmentation method for brain MRI based on fuzzy techniques

Abstract: Segmentation of MR images was formulated in this thesis as the problem of partitioning a set of feature vectors obtained from an MR image into a relatively small number of clusters. Segmentation of MR images is formulated as an unsupervised vector quantization process, where the local values of different relaxation parameters form the feature vectors which are represented by a relatively small set of prototypes.
