Internet protocol based monitoring and control system for Iraqi power generation stations.

Abstract: As electrical power industry enters the new century, Computer-based Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems have been evolved from standalone, traditional compartmental operations into networked architectures that communicate through computer networks across large distances.

Mimo-OFDM wireless channel estimation based on pilot-tone technique.

Abstract: A major challenge in broadband MIMO-OFDM system is how to obtain the Channel State Information (CSI) accurately and promptly for coherent detection of information symbols and channel tracking. This thesis formulates the channel estimation problems for MIMO-OFDM systems and proposes a pilot-tone based estimation algorithms. The complex equivalent baseband MIMO-OFDM signal model is derived using matrix representation.

Low cost hardware architecture design of KASUMI cipher.

Abstract: During the last decade, smart cards have become a widespread digital device. Advantages of smart cards are, for instance, low development costs and thepossibility to obtain a high degree of stability and security. They are frequently used for sensitive applications like money withdrawal or identification systems. The secured identification mechanism of smart cards depends on protocol which can be built in optimized hardware by using a Hash function whereas the heart core for any Hash function is an encryption cipher.
