Investigation of inner shorted annular microstrip antennas

Abstract: The inner shorted annular microstrip antenna (ISAMSA) is one of the different types of microstrip patches which are widely-used for their numerous advantages. These antennas have the advantage of controlling the radiation pattern by varying the inner and outer radius in the same mode .This thesis presents a study of the design parameters of inner shorted annular microstrip antennas such as the input impedance, the bandwidth, the radiation pattern and the modes that can be excited in this type of antennas using EM-Sight of Microwave Office 2000.

Design of electronic circuits based on parallel genetic algorithms.

Abstract: This study presents an electronic circuit design system based on Genetic Algorithm that uses SPICE to evaluate the circuit performance and compare it to the requirements. A Parallel Genetic Algorithm is used to reduce the running time as the simulator takes very long time to process a circuit. The Genetic Algorithm was implemented using the C++ programming language, to have an efficient and reliable program and to allow the use of low level functionality of the operating system. The implementation was targeted in the Windows operating system.

Design and implementation of telemetry reading of power.

Abstract: With the development of life and the need for more resources (electricity, gas, water and etc.) is increased, some companies began to provide these resources to each household, school, and office. These companies install meters in each consuming place and assign someone to get the reading of that meter. With the increase of buildings, households, offices that use this meter, it’s inappropriate to assign one or even hundred of people to check measured values. To solve these problems, various remote meter reading systems have been proposed.
