Some biochemical and immunological aspects in patients with type 2 diabetic nephropathy

Diabetic mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disorder group of carbohydrate metabolism in which glucose is underused, producing hyperglycemia. Different statistics have led to diabetes being described as one of the main threat to human health in the 21 P st P  century. DM is the major cause of renal morbidity and mortality, and diabetic nephropathy is a leading cause chronic kidney failure.

Transplantation of Mesenchymal Stem Cells into Experimental Injured Mice Liver

This study was designed to investigate the hepatogenic potential of bone marrow derived mesenchymal stem cells (BM-MSCs) and to evaluate the ability of differentiated hepatocytes to repair surgically induced liver damaged mice. In the first experimental work; The mesenchymal stem cells were isolated from the bone marrow of the thigh bones of 4-8 weeks old male mice based on the ability of adherence to plastic surfaces. The reactivity of isolated mesenchymal stem cells was tested immunocytochemically for MCSs markers.

Effect of some antibiotics and alcoholic extracts of Loranthus europaeus on growth of Helicobacter pylori by using nanochitosan

This study was aimed to an attempt for early detection of Helicobacter pylori bacterium by relying the relationship of ammonia production with changing the color of the media, pH, bacterial growth density and the ulceration type (acute or hemorrhage). The study also aimed to use biodegradable synthetic nanomaterials as a mean of   delivery for therapy as well as knowledge of their efficiency as a therapeutic agent. H.

Molecular detection of some mutations of G6PD in a sample of Iraqi patients

This study was constructed to discuss an issue regarding  Glucose 6 phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency enzyme, and the genetic disorder that leading to heamolysis anemia. A total of 50 blood samples were collected from different hospitals (Yarmook Hospital, Center Child hospital , AL Alweyaa , Medical City) beside to 20 sample as a control (healthy). These samples were vary in the deficiency of the enzyme from mild to chronic according to the test of G6PD. The period time of collection samples took about three months from March to June 2014.

Evaluation of tumor necrosis factor-alpha and interferon-alpha with some biochemical parameters in different groups of chronic myeloid leukemia patients in Baghdad

Chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) is a myeloproliferative disorder caused by the BCR/ABL oncogene and characterized by clonal expansion of the hematopoietic progenitor cells and myeloid cells resulting from the (9:22) translocation. The aim of this study is to investigate the extent to which tumor necrosis factor-α and interferon- α and some biochemical parameters are involved in chronic myeloid leukemia in blood samples of patients with newly diagnosed patients. The effect of pharmacological interventions (imatintb) on theses parameters were also investigated in treated CML patients.

Production, purification and characterization of biosurfactant from Geobacillus thermoleovorans and studying its antimicrobial and antitumor activity

The ten bacterial isolates used in this study have the ability to utilizecrude oil and aromatic compounds. They were isolated in the previousstudy and considered as a novel group of aromatic hydrocarbon degradingextreme thermophillic bacteria. These isolates were screened for theirability to produce biosurfactant depending on the emulsification index(E24%), surface tension measurement (mN/m) and emulsification activity(E.A) using crude oil as a carbon source.

Molecular study of Thrombosis in a Sample of Iraqi Patients

This study aimed to investigate the association of F5 gene single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) with the incidence of thrombosis. Blood samples werecollected from04 patientsduring the period from November 2014 to January 2015, from critical care unit (C.C.U) of (Yarmook Hospital, Kadhimiya  Hospital),as well as from 10unrelated healthy control group. This study found the age group between 50 to 60 are more susceptible to thrombosis 45% and the thrombosis was more frequent in male 55% from female 45% the significant (p<0.01).

Evaluating the Effects of Probiotics and Vinegars on Bacteria Isolated from Burns and Wounds Infections

This study aimed to isolate bacterial causative of burn and wound infections and treat them by vinegars and probiotics. For such purpose, a total of 58 swab samples were obtained from patients of both gender and various ages who referred to two teaching hospitals in Baghdad suffering from burn and wound infections of different severity and location of injuries in their body. Only 43 (74.2%) of the

Tissue Culture of Mice Bone Marrow Mesenchymal Stem Cells Differentiation to Motor Neural cell

Stem cells are relatively unspecialized cells that have the ability to renew themselves and produce a variety of specialized cells after division without limit, as long as animal is still alive. These criteria were directed to produce many types of differentiated cells to repair damage in the body (Watt , 2011). It is the original cell of an organism that has the ability to develop into many different types of cells in the body.

Molecular and Biochemical Aspects of Hyperprolactinemia in infertile Women

This study was constructed to investigate hyperprolactinemia related infertility through  a biochemical and molecular base   associated with single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) at prolactin gene and prolactin receptor gene in hyperprolactinemic patients. The study included one hundred fifty blood samples from patients suffering hyperprolactinemia and infertility during the period from March
