The Profile of Thyroid Hormones, Cortisol, Prolactin and Body Mass Index in Patients with Diabetes Type 2
Diabetes is a group of disorders that produce elevated levels of blood glucose. The two main forms of diabetes are type 1and type 2. The cause of diabetes was associated with some endocrine hormones and obesity. This study was focused on diabetes type 2 and its effects on thyroid hormones (TSH, T3, T4),prolactin and cortisol and with body mass index. To achieve this aim 68 diabetic patients type 2 with ages of 35-70 years and 34 healthy people with ages of 35-70 years (control group) were enrolled.
