Proceeding from the principle of a productive university and community service, and the development of the study curriculum, the College of Information Technology Engineering at the University of Al- Nehrain has signed a memorandum of understanding with the company of (Bukaa Alustura) the center of Microsoft training.
The memorandum aims at establishing a training center and a department of producing software solutions to serve the state institutions and the private sector and to organize the partnership and scientific and technological cooperation.
The Prof. Dr. Mohammed Zaki Alfaaez, Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology Engineering, has said that this initiative, which is the first step between the company and Al- Nehrain University, aims to raise the scientific and technological level, to support the facility's various scientific activities as well as to train the students and community service.
Alfaaez has added that the college has initiated a contact with several directions in order to open opportunities of communication and development and to provide a financial incomes for the university and at the same time to increase the level of communication with the world.
He added that the center will train a staff from the college's professors to be competent and qualified to give a (licenses) certificate to the trainees, and the student will receive a certificate of graduation from college as well as specialty in Microsoft software from this center.
Alfaaez has pointed that they will utilized the third year students and will direct students of the fourth year to provide in their graduation projects solutions to the state institutions and the private sector.
Ahmed Izz al-Din Abdul Amir, executive director of the training Center for Microsoft, has said that the Centre's work is concentrated on the training on Microsoft Corporation curricula and granting official attendance certificates in accordance with the criteria adopted by Microsoft, and provide an examination center internationally accredited to provide all the necessary examinations to get Microsoft's global certificates as well as to provide projects and software solutions for state institutions and the private sector.
The Microsoft Training Centre is one of the accredited centers in the Arabic countries, including Lebanon and Abu Dhabi as well as working in Baghdad since 2006. And in order to expand the scope of the training institutions of the state we chose the University of Al- Nehrain for being a pioneer in the field of scientific diversity and excellence, thus it was chosen to be the first step to connect with the Iraqi universities.
