Within believing in the role leading of Al-Nahrain University in supporting Iraqi state institutions and supplying them with scientific energies in order to serve the community in various fields and levels, Assistant Professor Ahmed Askar Najaf participated in the Second Conference of Geological Studies which was held in College of Science - University of Baghdad for the period from 15-16 of April 2015.
Dr. Ahmed has awarded a letter of appreciation and a certificate for the research that he introduced on the impacts of climate change on humans in the land of Mesopotamia during the Ice Age and comparing climatic changes taking place at the present time. The Scientific Committee has praised the research presented and it was considered as one of the distinctive researches that can bring great interest, especially as it comes to the emergence of the first settlements in the Earth's history and the building of first civilization on the land of Mesopotamia, which had been distinguished for its humidity and fresh water and fertile soil, which Paved the way for the establishment of early civilizations before 8000 years BC.
