Prof.Dr. Qasim Shuaib Al-Sultani, an instructor at the College of Political Science at Al-Nahrain University, has published an academic book entitled Mussolini: From the Red Flame to the Black Shadow: A Study of the Intellectual Transformations of the Leader of Italian Fascism (1883–1945) , published by Hattrick House for Printing and Publishing.
The book offers an analytical examination of Benito Mussolini’s intellectual trajectory, tracing his transformation from left-wing radicalism and socialism, through the nationalist turn, and ultimately to the establishment of fascist doctrine. It also analyzes the intellectual and political factors that contribute to shaping his views and ideological transformations.
The book does not merely recount historical events; rather, it examines the intellectual and ideological transformations that shape Mussolini’s personality and their impact on the course of Italy and modern history. It offers those interested in political science and history an insightful reading that contributes to understanding the nature of power and the influence of totalitarian ideas on political transformations.
