President of Al-Nahrain University, Prof. Dr. Ali Abdul-Aziz Al-Shawi, attends the specialized workshop organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in cooperation with Clarivate, focusing on building a university ecosystem for transforming knowledge into economic value. The workshop is attended by a number of university presidents, researchers, and experts.
The workshop addresses the importance of developing university ecosystems that connect scientific research and innovation with productive sectors and the labor market, and of transforming knowledge outputs and scientific ideas into applicable projects and solutions. It also highlights the importance of the Bologna Process and technology parks in supporting innovation and facilitating the transfer of knowledge and technologies from universities to economic sectors.
The workshop also features a specialized lecture addressing the fundamentals of knowledge and innovation management and their integration with productive sectors. It also reviews relevant experiences and practices and discussed mechanisms for developing an institutional environment conducive to innovation and strengthening partnerships between universities and the public and private sectors, thereby contributing to sustainable economic and developmental impact.
