
The College of Engineering at Al-Nahrain University has achieved a distinguished scientific accomplishment at the National University Championship for Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Applications (NURAI 2026), organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The college secures first place nationally in the Agricultural Track, reflecting the high academic caliber of its students and their ability to harness artificial intelligence technologies to develop innovative solutions.
The college participated with 22 teams out of the 29 teams representing Al-Nahrain University across the six competitive tracks. The “Impact Makers” team, affiliated with the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Engineering and supervised by Dr. Mustafa Saad Ayoub, secures first place in the Agricultural Track among 56 participating teams, achieving a score of 94/100.
The college’s teams also secures sixth place in the Environmental Track, eighth place in the Medical Track, and 21st place in the Industrial Track, in addition to achieving advanced results in several other tracks.
This achievement underscores the College of Engineering’s commitment to supporting innovation and applied scientific research, while encouraging students to transform their ideas into technology-based projects with a meaningful societal impact. It also aligns with Al-Nahrain University’s vision of preparing engineering graduates capable of competing in the fields of robotics, artificial intelligence, and innovation.
