Al-Nahrain University hosts a training course organized by the Department of Research and Development at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research on the automated “Koha” system for cataloging books, resources, and theses, as part of efforts to support digital transformation and develop library systems in academic institutions.
The course saw the participation of librarians from central and branch libraries at Al-Nahrain, Baghdad, and Al-Iraqia universities, along with representatives from relevant oeganizations. Its sessions covers an introduction to the system’s mechanisms and capabilities in organizing and cataloging scientific resources, contributing to the development of library work.
The course aims to train library staff to use the electronic system with high efficiency, enhancing the quality of library services and facilitating access to information, as well as developing the skills of professionals in modern library management.
