The Women’s Affairs Unit, in collaboration with the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit and the Legal Division at the College of Engineering, Al-Nahrain University, organized a workshop titled “Laws and Regulations Related to Employment.”
The workshop addressed two main topics. The first focused on the Civil Service Law No. 24 of 1960, presented by Political Advisor Anas Jabbar Ali, who highlighted the importance of adhering to ethical conduct standards to ensure disciplined institutional performance. The second topic covered the Discipline of State and Public Sector Employees Law No. 14 of 1991 (amended), presented by Senior Legal Advisor Rasha Mohammed Sa’im, who discussed legal procedures related to employment obligations and how to address administrative violations.
The workshop concluded with a speech by the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Jumaa Salman, who emphasized the importance of adhering to work schedules, respecting administrative hierarchies, strengthening professional relationships, and understanding laws and regulations to enhance institutional performance. He affirmed that compliance with these legislations reinforces the university’s effectiveness and leadership role.
