Prof. Dr. Anees Khalil Nayel, Dean of the College of Medicine at Al-Nahrain University and Head of the ATLS Chapter in Iraq under the American College of Surgeons (ACS), participated in the International Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) Conference, held in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
During the conference, Dr. Anees Khalil delivered a lecture highlighting the importance of integrating the ATLS program into medical school curricula. He emphasized the need for early training of students in clinical trauma cases, which plays a critical role in developing their practical skills and preparing them to effectively manage emergency cases, ultimately improving treatment outcomes.
The two-day conference featured extensive scientific and academic discussions with experts from various countries on medical education and research methodologies. It is worth noting that the College of Medicine at Al-Nahrain University serves as the main center for ATLS training in Iraq, reflecting its leading role in advancing medical education both locally and regionally.
