College of Medicine holds a symposium in cooperation with Health Department of Baghdad about challenges and obstacles for health insurance and improve the quality of health services in Conferences Hall in Medicine College.Dean of College,Prof.Dr.Anees Khalel Nile; Director -General of Health Department Al-Karkh ,Dr.Saad Kamel Al-Lumy ;the head of Association of the Iraqi Family of Doctors,Dr.Munther Saad Jaber;the manger of the Public Health,Dr.Yaser Murthath ;the manager of medical Imamaeen Al-Kathemian,Dr.Habeeb Ali Al-Rabehah and Dr.Ihab Abd Al-Kareem, the speaker of the Health Insurance Body and a number of the Family Doctors attend this symposium.
This Symposium implies the challenges and obstacles which face the Health Insurance which is adopted by the Parliament to present the health services to the citizens for the universal health coverage ; accomplish the principles of justice ;social solidarity ; decrease financial burden on the citizens ;poverty reduction ;securing new sources of health financing; create a good environment for competitions; develop the staff performance and the work of health institutions ; improve the quality of health services and see the problems and obstacles which face them.
