The following flavylium salts have been prepared throughout this work, by the c,ondensation of appropariate o-hydroxybenzaldehydes with different substituted acetophenone : Namely, 3,5-dimethyl 7-methoxyflavylium chloride [19], 2',7-dimethoxy - 5-methylflavylium chloride [120] 3',5;7-trimethoxy -5-methylf lavylium chloride [21], 3',4',7-trimethoxy -5-methylflavylium chloride[22], 4' ,7-dinethoxy -5-methylflavylium chloride[ 231] 2'-methyl-7- methoxyf lavylium chloride[24] 3-mthnyl -7- mrthoxflavylium chloride[24],3-methyl -7-methoxflavylium chloride[25], 3',5',7- trimethoxyflavylium chloridel [26], 3,4, 7' –trimethoxyflavylium chloride,[27], 4',7- dimethoxyflavylium chloride[28], 3',7-dimethoxy –flavylium chloride[29], 7-methoxflavylium choride[30] and 3',4'-dimethoxyflavylium chloride[31]. Spectroscopic measurements (uv-avosible, IR, HNMR, C-NMR and mass spectroscopy) ot,f the above mentioned compounds (new compounds 19-23 known compounds 24-31) were determined and discussed.
