Physiological, Biochemical, and Molecular Study on Patients with Thyroid Disorders
This study focused on 215 patients possessing thyroid dysfunction and were distributed as follow: 100 patients with hypothyroidism, 100 patients with hyperthyroidism, 15 patients with thyroid cancer, and 20 healthy persons as control. Their ages ranged between (20-70) years. Blood samples of those subjects were collected at AL- Yarmok Teaching Hospital (Baghdad), AL- Kadhymia Teaching Hospital (Baghdad), St. Rafael Hospital (Baghdad),
Genetic and Biochemical Study for Breast Cancer Women below 40 Years in Iraq
Breast cancer is the commonest cancer affecting women worldwide. Different studies have dealt with the etiological factors of that cancer aiming to find a way for early diagnosis and satisfactory therapy. The present study investigated the relationship between genetic
polymorphisms of BRCA1 & BRCA2 genes and evaluation of some etiological risk factors among breast cancer patients in Iraq. This investigation was carried out on 25 patients (all were females) who were confirmatory for breast cancer by histopathological examinations
DEVELOPMENT OF DATA BASE FOR FLEXIBLE PAVEMENTS LAYERS ON SOILS USING GIS TECHNIQUE
The design and evaluation of pavement structures require a significant amount of supporting data such as subgrade material properties density and cohesion. The present study is undertaken to prepare thematic maps in order to predict the important parameters used in highway pavement design, geometric design, feasibility and other construction projects taking advantage of the ability of GIS tools by using soil investigation reports as a database. Also, these maps are useful in determining the unsuitable soil materials’ position for subgrade in order to avoid or treat any problem.
In vivo and In vitro Antimicrobial Activity of Flower and Callus Extracts of Matricaria chamomilla L. in The Treatment of Experimentally - Induced Skin Infections in Mice
The current study was designed to examine the antimicrobial activity of the chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla) water or ethanol extracts for both flowers and callus cultures initiated on germinated seeds. An attempt was carried out to treat the induced infected mice with some microorganisms causing skin infection namely Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Candida albicans. Results were compared with some drugs
Numerical and Approximate Methods for Solving Stochastic Integral Equations
Stochastic and random integral equations are of great importance that may be used in modeling certain type of problems that contains random process and noise. Therefore, the main objectives of this thesis may be oriented as follows: The first objective is to study the theoretical side of stochastic calculus and stochastic processes, which include the basic definitions and fundamental concepts related to this topic, such as stochastic processes,
stochastic differentiation and stochastic integration the existence and uniqueness theorem.
Genetic and Biochemical Study in a sample of Iraqi women with breast cancer above 40 Years

Activity Of Some Secondary Metabolites From Tagetes patula L. Flowers Against Microbial Infection
In an attempt to treat infection of mice skin, and investigate the antimicrobial effect of bacterial system (G-system) using essential oil and methanol extract of Tagetes patula flowers (Qadifah), several experiments were carried out. These extracts were investigated for the presence of some active secondary metabolites and their antimicrobial activity. Tagetes methanol flowers extract contained phenols, flavonoide, alkaloids, saponins, and terpenes.
Preparation of Human Spermatozoa using Glass Wool Filtration Technique versus Washing Swim-up Techniqu
Background: Semen preparation techniques were developed to separate motile sperm that are morphologically normal from seminal plasma to optimize successful assisted reproductive technology cycles which seem to be the most effective options in cases of a male factor infertility. Objective: The objective of the present study was to compare between outcomes of two sperm preparation techniques including:
PERFORMANCE OF CATHODIC PROTECTION FOR PIPE LINES
Modeling of Cathodic Protection for Pipelines The corrosion of metallic structures buried in soils or in contact with soils has long been a serious engineering and economic problem. All over the world millions of kilometers of gas, water, oil pipelines, communication cables, power
Determination of the Optimum Conditions for Prodigiosin Production by the Locally Isolated Serratia marcescens
A total of 57 samples were collected from different environments (soil, water, and sewage samples) from different locations in Baghdad governorate. The total isolates obtained from these samples were 30 isolates, 15 of them were identified as Serratia spp according to cultural and morphological characteristics. Biochemical tests were carried out on these 15 isolates. Results showed that 5 of these isolates were identified as Serratia marcescens.
