أعلن تصنيف (UI Green Metric) العالمي للجامعات نتائج نسخته لعام 2024، الذي تنافس فيه 1477 جامعة من 95 دولة حول العالم، بما في ذلك 78 جامعة عراقية.
ويعتمد هذا التصنيف على ستة معايير رئيسية تشمل: البنية التحتية للحرم الجامعي (15%)، الطاقة والتغير المناخي (21%)، إدارة النفايات (18%)، كفاءة استخدام المياه (10%)، التعليم والبرامج الأكاديمية والبحوث (18%)، ووسائل النقل والتنقل داخل الحرم الجامعي (18%).
وأظهرت النتائج تحقيق جامعة النهرين موقعاً متميزاً ضمن التصنيف، مما يعكس التزامها بمعايير الجودة البيئية والاستدامة في الحرم الجامعي. كما حققت الجامعة تقدماً ملحوظاً في مجالات إدارة الطاقة والبحوث الأكاديمية المتعلقة بالاستدامة، ما يُبرز دورها الريادي بين الجامعات العراقية المشاركة في التصنيف.

Al-Nahrain University Achieves a New Milestone in the 2024 UI Green Metric Ranking
The global UI Green Metric ranking for universities has announced its 2024 results, which included 1,477 universities from 95 countries worldwide, including 78 Iraqi universities.
This ranking is based on six main criteria: campus infrastructure (15%), energy and climate change (21%), waste management (18%), water usage efficiency (10%), education, academic programs, and research (18%), and transportation within the campus (18%).
The results revealed that Al-Nahrain University secured a distinguished position in the ranking, reflecting its commitment to environmental quality and sustainability standards on campus. The university has made significant progress in energy management and sustainability-related academic research, highlighting its leadership role among Iraqi universities participating in the ranking.
