The College of Political Science at Al-Nahrain University discussed a master’s thesis titled: “Iraq’s National Security Strategy and Risk Management Dynamics: A Comparative Study of the 2007 and 2014 Strategies and Their Future Prospects,” submitted by student Ahmed Mohammed Sharif Jassim.
The study focused on presenting an Iraqi security vision based on current realities while anticipating future challenges. It emphasized enhancing strengths, addressing weaknesses, and countering internal and external threats to ensure Iraq’s readiness to face potential risks.
The thesis aimed to analyze the role of security strategies in managing risks and ensuring national security by identifying national objectives, diagnosing opportunities and challenges, and providing recommendations to strengthen Iraq’s stability and security in the future.
