The Criminal Evidence Department at the College of Sciences at Al-Nahrain University, in collaboration with the Directorate of Criminal Evidence Investigation, organized a workshop on fingerprints and their role in forensic evidence.
The lecture was presented by Colonel Ather Al-Amir Rahim, Major Haidar Sameer Matar from the Criminal Evidence Investigation Department’s fingerprint section, and Dr. Omar Adnan Jassim, with the attendance of several faculty members and students from the college.
The seminar aimed to introduce the scientific methods used in collecting fingerprints and the comparison of lifted crime scene fingerprints with archived fingerprints.
