The College of Political Science at Al-Nahrain University held a discussion on the master’s thesis submitted by student Fatima Khalil Ibrahim, which examined the political system in Sri Lanka and its approach to managing diversity, as part of the specialization in Political Systems and Public Policies.
The thesis aimed to evaluate the Sri Lankan political system’s effectiveness in managing diversity, shedding light on the policies and mechanisms it employs to address ethnic differences and promote societal coexistence. It also presented lessons that could benefit other countries facing similar challenges in managing human diversity.
The study emphasized the importance of understanding how the Sri Lankan political system deals with ethnic and racial diversity, highlighting the strategies used to mitigate its negative impacts and transform it into a strength that contributes to the country’s stability.
