In conjunction with Global Entrepreneurship Week and the directions, , the Student Affairs Department organizes a workshop entitled The Impact of Entrepreneurship on Sustainable Development which is presented by Asst.Prof. Louay Nasser Jabr. It focuses on the importance of entrepreneurship in identifying opportunities, exploiting them, and creating new ones shedding light on the required skills to achieve success in entrepreneurial projects.
The workshop addresses the role of entrepreneurship as an essential element for sustainable development explaining how one can create job opportunities, reduce unemployment, and promote innovation that contributes to improving efficiency and use of resources. It also refers to the impact of entrepreneurship on economic and social growth, and its role in providing innovative solutions to address environmental issues, through adopting environmentally friendly practices and using renewable energy sources.
Emphasizing entrepreneurship contributes to strengthening partnerships between the public and private sectors which provides effective strategies for achieving sustainable development. It also contributes to developing individual skills and knowledge, which enhances society’s ability to adapt to future challenges and build a strong and sustainable economy.
