In the activities of Global Entrepreneurship Week, College of Business Economics in Al-Nahrain University organizes a scientific symposium entitled Entrepreneurship: Thinking Outside the Box which is presented by Prof.Dr. Nagham Hussein Nehme, Dean of this College;Asst.Prof.Dr.Tariq Ali Jassim, Head of the Department of Investment and Business Economics, and Dr. Nour. Salama Shehdeh, head of the magazine unit in the college with the attendance of a group of graduate students.
The symposium focuses on strategies for developing outside-the-box thinking skills as a way to enhance creativity and innovation. Discussions includs how to encourage curiosity by exploring new fields and asking deep questions as well as the importance of deep analysis of problems using tools such as SWOT analysis. The role of adventure and experimentation is also highlighted as part of the creativity and encouraging acceptance of failure as a step towards learning and growth.
The symposium emphasizes enhancing promoting innovative thinking requires adopting systematic and diverse practices, and these efforts come within the college’s vision to promote entrepreneurship as an essential element for advancing the economy and achieving sustainable development.
