College of Business Economics in Al-Nahrain University organizes a scientific symposium entitled The Impact of Climate Changes on Sustainable Development: Iraq as a Model with the attendance of Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Nagham Hussein Nimah, a number of department instructors and college students.
Prof.Dr. Nawzad Abdul Rahman Al-Hiti, Professor of Political Economy in the Diplomatic Institute and the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, presents the lecture about a detailed explanation of climate change, which is one of the most prominent challenges facing achieving the sustainable development goals at the local and global levels.
This symposium focuses on shedding light contemporary developments in the field of economic development including the impact of temperature variation. She explains that climate change's impact is not limited to the agricultural sector, but rather extends to cover basic human rights which weakens the potential for economic development and negatively affects on the achievement of comprehensive sustainability.
