She participates in this conference by presenting her scientific research entitled:Evaluation of miRNA-10b expression levels as a potential precursor to metastasis in localized and advanced/metastatic breast cancer among Iraqi patients.
The research implies the study of expression of the gene miRNA-10b as a cancer-causing factor and a biomarker for diagnosing breast cancer at its various stages basing on the analysis of blood and tissue samples from 150 Iraqi patients. The results shows a noticeable increase in gene expression of this molecule, especially in cases of metastatic cancer with its association with negative outcomes in terms of survival without distant metastases.
