Director of the Department of Media and Government Communication in Al-Nahrain University, Dr. Hind Saeed Aswad, participates in the fifth and seventeenth annual international scientific conference which addresses the role of media and communication technology in promoting dialogue among civilizations.
Participation represents a joint scientific research entitled Communicative Dimensions of Pope Francis’ Visit to Iraq: An Analytical Study of the Official Al-Sabah and Al-Zaman Independent Newspapers which deals with the importance of communication as a basic means of dialogue , interaction between people and the influence of the media on shaping the public’s attitudes towards various issues. It focuses on analyzing the communication dimensions of Pope Francis’ visit to Iraq.
The study emphasizes the importance of using the media as a tool to promote the shared human values and form a positive image of different societies. It sheds light on how one make communication messages that have political, cultural, and religious dimensions to create an effective impact on the local audience and states.
