On Wednesday, Al-Nahrain University welcomed its first postgraduate student under the “Study in Iraq” initiative. The student, a Sudanese national, has been admitted to the College of Science.
The student was received by Prof. Dr. Omar F. Abdul-Rasheed, Vice President of the University for Scientific Affairs, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Hasan Mosa Al-Mosawe, Director of the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations.
During the meeting, the university reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Arab and international students admitted through the initiative. It emphasized providing administrative and logistical facilities to ensure a smooth and enriching academic experience. The Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations highlighted that all admission, reception, and registration procedures were efficiently handled, ensuring a welcoming environment for international students.
This initiative represents a significant step towards strengthening cultural and academic collaboration between Iraq and other countries, while advancing higher education to achieve scientific and societal goals.
