The College of Information Engineering at Al-Nahrain University, in collaboration with the Prime Minister’s Office for Scientific, Academic, and Artificial Intelligence Affairs, held a scientific seminar titled “AI Clubs and Education: Today’s Innovation to Build Future Leaders.” The event was attended by the Dean of the College, Professor Hikmat Najm Abdullah, his deputies for Scientific and Administrative Affairs, heads of departments, faculty members, and students, in addition to representatives from the Ministry of Interior.
The Dean delivered a speech highlighting the importance of artificial intelligence in driving a radical transformation across various fields, from healthcare and education to business and industry, and its role in accelerating innovation and solving complex problems in ways that were previously impossible.
The seminar included scientific lectures by the Advisor to the Prime Minister for Scientific Affairs and Artificial Intelligence, Professor Dhiaa Al-Jumaili, on the Philosophy of Artificial Intelligence, a lecture by the Head of the Computer Networks Engineering Department, Assistant Professor Ammar Dawood, and a lecture by the Head of the Automation and Artificial Intelligence Engineering Department, Assistant Professor Ammar Ibrahim, about the applications of artificial intelligence in various fields.
The seminar aims to introduce students to the Robotics and AI Program initiative launched by the Prime Minister’s Office, which aims to enhance skills related to the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
