Al-Nahrain University celebrates the graduation of its thirty-first class for the academic year 2023-2024 under the slogan Science and Construction with the attendance of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abdel Yasser Al-Aboudi and a number of academic personalities, teaching staff and graduates’ families.
The ceremony begins with the showing of a documentary film reflecting the university's progress and achievements followed by the arrival of His Excellency the Minister, who is received by the master of ceremonies with words of welcome, then the Republican anthem is played, and the entry ceremony for the processions of graduates begins for the colleges of law, medicine, engineering, science, political science, and engineering Information ,business economics, biotechnology, pharmacy, a procession of members of college councils with teaching bodies, and a procession of the University Council, while official speeches are delivered by the President of Al-Nahrain University and the representative of graduate students, and the unified university oath is performed and the certificate awarding ceremony takes place.
In this ceremony, His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education delivers a speech in which he congratulates the graduates and urges them to continue making efforts to serve society. He stresses in his word that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research is working in accordance with its strategic policy, its working perspective, and its belief in the stages of integration to develop and advance the scientific and research environment, which is the basis to accelerate the speed of universities, their colleges, branches, departments and centers in registering competitive positions in production of the scientific research and leading results in sober international rankings and databases, pointing out at the same time to the success which is achieved in Iraqi university institutions during the two years and its is based on the quality of the academic programs and the positive work provided by teaching staff and the link between the outputs and the needs of society and keeping up with and taking into account variables of knowledge and work market locally and globally.
Finally, certificates and prizes are given to the top students.
