College of Political Science in Al-Nahrain University discusses a Phd thesis about Continuity and Change in American Foreign Policy post 2008:An Analytical Study presented by the researcher Asraa Qasim Ghanim.
The thesis aims for defining the foreign policy which adopts the principle for achieving the national interests by evaluating the sources of power, determining the political goals ; this policy depends on the internal capabilities and international ambitions for the state;it is affected by the factors of international environment such as the other power and the political positions.Besides,each state has a unique role in foreign policy which is explained by its positions as well as global policy affected by development and the international events.
The study achieves to the results concerning the interest of the Foreign Ministries and Centers of Researches globally in the American policy with the presidential elections ,especially the changes of parties which are concerned with the priorities and strategies of the American foreign policy.
