Abstract:

An optical experimental set up method for directly measuring the deformation and displacement of specular surface for multi-objects setting, by diffuse illumination from diffusely surface object which usually has a granular structure. The interference is introduced by a reference wave of coherent laser light source, to see a speckle image of the object surface. Semiconductor laser diode =635 nm wavelength was used as light source for measurement with a power 2.6 mw, camera and computer were also used for analysis. The system was built as a powerful tool to test surfaces and provide information, and to insure image processing. A four test objects were used in experimental work (germanium, iron, aluminum and planner mirror. The output image obtained from all test pieces were detected by an image sensor (camera), and processed by a computer program MATLAB v.7* to be analyzed and to show any information about the object surface.
