Abstract:

Metalloporphyrines are coordination compounds, which are extremely important in biological systems. In this research, substituted porphyrin (Tetraphenylporphyrin) was prepared and identified by UY/Visible spectroscopy. In this research, the complexes.of Cupper (II), Cadmium (II), Lead (II), Zinc (II), Cobalt (II) and Nickel (II), were prepared. UV/Visible spectroscopy used as a main tool in the making sure of the insertion of the metal into the ligand. Mixture between two or three of these complexes was done. The studying showed overlapped maxima for the studied complexes, which made their determination in a mixture troublesome. Derivative spectra with delta =10 first and secondly with delta =5 technique was attempted to overcome this problem. Calibration curves were constructed for studied complexes at their respective A, max. The slopes of these equations were ranged from 3782.3 to 118017 and the correlation coefficient ranging from (0.9982 to 0.9994).
