INVESTIGATION OF THEOPTICAL PROPERTIES OF THE ACHROMATIC QUADRUPOLE LENS

       The optimization calculations are made to find the optimum properties of combined quadrupole lens which consists of electrostatic and magnetic lens.  The optical properties are computed, where both the focal length and the magnification are determined.  Both chromatic and spherical aberration coefficients are reduced to minimum values and the achromatic aberration are found for many cases.This calculation are achieved with the aid of transfer matrices method and using both rectangular and bell-shaped models of field distribution, where the path of charged

Determination Of The Most Favorable Shapes For The Electrostatic Quadrupole Lens

      By using transfer matrices method a computation has been carried out on the axial field distribution and the optical properties of the electrostatic quadrupole lens of different electrode shapes such as, cylindrical convex and spherical electrodes.The path of charged–particles beam traversing the field model has been determined by solving the trajectory equation of motion in Cartesian coordinates.  The optical properties of the electrostatic quadrupole lens have been computed with the aid of the beam trajectory along the lens axis.  Optimization

Preparation of Anorthite from Local Raw Iraqi Materials

  The study concern with using local Kaolin of Duekhla to prepare Anorthite material. The sequence of study started with washing, chemical treatment and sedimentation to produce a fine powder by passing the product through a special sieve (less than 20 µm).then after this step dividing the fine powder product into two groups, the first group with out heat treatment and the second with heat treatment (calcinations) at 400 oC.

Design of an Einzel Lens Using Non-Classical Variation Technique

   A computational investigation has been carried  out in  the  field  of  charged-particle  optics.  The work  is concerned with the design of einzel (uni potential)  lens by using non-classical variation method under different magnification conditions.The potential field distribution of the einzel lens has been represented by an analytical function. The paraxial ray equation has been solved for finding the short beam trajectory of the charged particles traversing the lens.

THE ABERRATION CORRECTION DUE TO MISALIGNMENT IN ELECTROSTATIC LENSES

     A computational investigation has been carried out in the field of charged-particle optics. The work is concerned with the design of electrostatic lenses with and without misalignment effect operated under different magnification conditions.The potential field distributions of einzel and immersion electrostatic lenses have been represented by analytic functions. The paraxial ray equation has been solved for the proposed fields to determine the trajectory of the charged particles traversing each lens.
