استقبلت جامعة النهرين وفدًا من السفارة الأسترالية في بغداد، برئاسة السكرتير الثاني في السفارة الاسترالية السيد إليوت مان، في زيارة تهدف إلى تعزيز آفاق التعاون الأكاديمي والبحثي، ومناقشة جهود العراق في مجالات تغيّر المناخ، الأمن السيبراني، والاتصالات.
شملت الزيارة كلية هندسة المعلومات، وكلية الهندسة، ومركز الطاقة المتجددة، حيث اطّلع الوفد على المشاريع البحثية المنجزة وقيد التنفيذ، والتوجهات العلمية للجامعة في مجالات الأمن السيبراني والطاقة المتجددة. كما تم بحث سبل تعزيز العمل البحثي المشترك من خلال تطوير برامج أكاديمية تدعم الابتكار العلمي والتكنولوجي.
وخلال الجولة، زار الوفد المختبرات العلمية الخاصة بطلبة الدراسات العليا، حيث جرت مناقشة آليات توسيع التعاون بين جامعة النهرين والجامعات الأسترالية، من خلال تبادل الخبرات الأكاديمية، وإقامة بحوث مشتركة تعالج التحديات العلمية والتكنولوجية ذات الاهتمام المشترك.

Al-Nahrain University Receives a Delegation from the Australian Embassy to Enhance Research Cooperation
Al-Nahrain University welcomed a delegation from the Australian Embassy in Baghdad, led by Mr. Elliot Mann, Second Secretary at the Australian Embassy, in a visit aimed at strengthening academic and research collaboration and discussing Iraq’s efforts in climate change, cybersecurity, and communications.
The delegation visited the College of Information Engineering, the College of Engineering, and the Renewable Energy Center, where they reviewed completed and ongoing research projects and explored the university’s scientific directions in cybersecurity and renewable energy. Discussions also focused on ways to enhance joint research efforts through the development of academic programs that foster scientific and technological innovation.
During the tour, the delegation visited graduate student laboratories, engaging in discussions on expanding cooperation between Al-Nahrain University and Australian universities through academic exchange and collaborative research to address key scientific and technological challenges.
