نظّمت كلية الهندسة في جامعة النهرين ورشة عمل علمية بعنوان “تعزيز الاستدامة في التشييد من خلال استخدام المواد المتقدمة والتقنيات المبتكرة”، قدّمها الدكتور رياض المهيدي، الخبير في هندسة الإنشاءات والاستدامة.
سلّطت الورشة الضوء على أحدث التطورات في مجال التشييد المستدام، مع التركيز على دور المواد المتقدمة والتقنيات الحديثة في تقليل الأثر البيئي وتعزيز كفاءة المباني. كما استعرض الدكتور المهيدي نماذج تطبيقية ودراسات حالة توضح كيفية دمج هذه الحلول في المشاريع الهندسية.
شهدت الورشة مشاركة عدد من الأساتذة والباحثين والطلبة المهتمين بمجال الاستدامة، حيث دارت نقاشات علمية حول التحديات التي يواجهها قطاع التشييد في ظل التحولات البيئية والتكنولوجية المتسارعة.

Al-Nahrain University Organizes a Workshop on Sustainability in Construction Using Advanced Materials and Innovative Technologies
The College of Engineering at Al-Nahrain University organized a scientific workshop titled “Enhancing Sustainability in Construction through the Use of Advanced Materials and Innovative Technologies,” presented by Dr. Riyadh Al-Mahidi, an expert in structural engineering and sustainability.
The workshop highlighted the latest developments in sustainable construction, focusing on the role of advanced materials and modern technologies in reducing environmental impact and improving building efficiency. Dr. Al-Mahidi also presented practical examples and case studies demonstrating how these solutions can be integrated into engineering projects.
The event was attended by a group of professors, researchers, and students interested in sustainability, fostering insightful discussions on the challenges facing the construction sector amid rapid environmental and technological changes.
