نظمت وحدة التأهيل والتوظيف في كلية العلوم السياسية بجامعة النهرين، مؤتمرًا للتوظيف، يُعد الأول من نوعه، بمشاركة عدد من الشركات والمؤسسات المختلفة، إلى جانب نخبة من الأساتذة والأكاديميين والطلبة وبحضور وزير العمل والشؤون الاجتماعية السيد احمد الاسدي.
ويهدف المؤتمر، الذي شاركت فيه مجموعة من شركات القطاع الخاص مثل شركات الاتصالات والمصارف والاستثمار والبناء ومنتجات التجميل والعناية بالبشرة، إلى تعزيز فرص تشغيل خريجي العلوم السياسية عبر إتاحة الفرصة لهم للقاء أصحاب العمل والتعرف على متطلبات الوظائف المتاحة.
وفي كلمته، أكد الأستاذ الدكتور علي عبد العزيز الشاوي، رئيس جامعة النهرين، أهمية إقامة مثل هذه الفعاليات التي تسهم في التنسيق بين مخرجات التعليم الجامعي ومتطلبات سوق العمل، مشيرًا إلى حرص الجامعة على دعم طلبتها وخريجيها من خلال برامج التأهيل والتوظيف والتواصل مع مختلف القطاعات المهنية.
من جانبه، أوضح الأستاذ الدكتور أسامة السعيدي، عميد كلية العلوم السياسية، أن الكلية تسعى إلى تأهيل طلبتها بما يتناسب مع التغيرات في سوق العمل، مؤكدًا أن مثل هذه المؤتمرات تمثل حلقة وصل مهمة بين الخريجين وأصحاب العمل.
وقد شهد المؤتمر تفاعلًا كبيرًا من قبل خريجي الكلية وطلبة المراحل المنتهية، الذين عبروا عن تقديرهم لهذه المبادرة التي تُعد الأولى من نوعها في الكلية، آملين أن تكون خطوة نحو انطلاقهم في مسيرتهم المهنية.

College of Political Science at Al-Nahrain University Organizes Its First Employment Conference
The Career Development and Employment Unit at the College of Political Science, Al-Nahrain University, organized its first employment conference, with the participation of various companies and institutions, alongside a distinguished group of professors, academics, and students. The event was attended by the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Al-Asadi.
The conference, which included private sector companies such as telecommunications, banking, investment, construction, and beauty and skincare product companies, aimed to enhance employment opportunities for political science graduates by providing them with the chance to meet potential employers and learn about available job opportunities.
In his speech, Professor Dr. Ali Abdulaziz Al-Shawi, President of Al-Nahrain University, emphasized the importance of such events in bridging the gap between higher education outcomes and labor market demands. He highlighted the university’s commitment to supporting its students and graduates through training, employment programs, and engagement with various professional sectors.
For his part, Professor Dr. Osama Al-Saeedi, Dean of the College of Political Science, stated that the college strives to equip its students with skills that align with market changes. He emphasized that such conferences serve as an essential link between graduates and employers.
The conference witnessed significant engagement from college graduates and final-year students, who expressed their appreciation for this initiative—the first of its kind in the college—hoping that it would serve as a stepping stone toward their professional careers.
