نظّمت كلية الصيدلة في جامعة النهرين ورشة علمية بعنوان “تأثير جراحة المجازة المعدية (Roux-en-Y) على امتصاص الأدوية الفموية”، وذلك ضمن جهودها لتعزيز المعرفة العلمية والتطبيقية في مجال الرعاية الصيدلانية.
قدمت الورشة المدرس المساعد رواء محمد، بحضور نخبة من أساتذة الكلية وتدريسييها. وتناولت الورشة التغيرات التشريحية والفسيولوجية التي تطرأ على الجهاز الهضمي بعد الجراحة، وأثر هذه التغيرات على امتصاص الأدوية، خصوصاً الأدوية التي تعتمد على الحموضة المعدية والتفاعل مع إنزيمات الجهاز الهضمي.
وأكدت الورشة على أهمية المتابعة الدورية للمرضى لضمان تحقيق أفضل النتائج العلاجية وتقليل المخاطر المحتملة. كما سلطت الضوء على الاستراتيجيات الحديثة لتحسين امتصاص الأدوية، بما في ذلك استخدام طرق إعطاء بديلة. واختُتمت الورشة بتبادل الخبرات بين المشاركين حول التحديات السريرية والحلول الممكنة، مما يعزز من جودة الممارسات الصيدلانية ويسهم في تحسين رعاية المرضى بعد جراحة المجازة المعدية.

The College of Pharmacy at Al-Nahrain University organized a scientific workshop titled “The Impact of Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass Surgery on Oral Drug Absorption,” as part of its efforts to enhance scientific and practical knowledge in the field of pharmaceutical care.
The workshop, presented by Asst. Prof. Roaa Mohammed, was attended by a distinguished group of faculty members and researchers. It covered the anatomical and physiological changes that occur in the digestive system after the surgery, focusing on how these changes affect drug absorption, especially for drugs that depend on gastric acidity and interaction with digestive enzymes.
The workshop emphasized the importance of regular patient monitoring to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes and minimize potential risks. It also highlighted modern strategies for improving drug absorption, including the use of alternative drug administration methods. The workshop concluded with an exchange of experiences among participants regarding clinical challenges and possible solutions, contributing to the enhancement of pharmaceutical practices and improving patient care following gastric bypass surgery.
