نظمت شعبة الإعلام والاتصال الحكومي في كلية الصيدلة بجامعة النهرين، بالتعاون مع قسم الإعلام والاتصال الحكومي في رئاسة الجامعة، ندوة علمية بعنوان “الإعاقة: أسبابها والرعاية الخاصة بها”، قدمها كل من الدكتورة سحر سلمان محمد، والدكتور كريم عبيس محمد، والدكتور مهند عبدالصاحب زبون.
ناقشت الندوة أهمية رعاية ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة وتوفير بيئة داعمة تمكّنهم من العيش باستقلالية والمشاركة الفعالة في المجتمع. كما تناولت الندوة محاور تتعلق بالدمج المجتمعي وتعزيز الاستقلالية، توفير الفرص المتكافئة في التعليم والعمل، الرعاية الصحية والنفسية، رفع الوعي المجتمعي، وتنمية المهارات والقدرات.
كما تم تناول أسباب الإعاقة، مثل الأسباب الوراثية، مشاكل أثناء الحمل والولادة، الأمراض والإصابات بعد الولادة، سوء التغذية، والحرمان البيئي.
في الختام، تم التأكيد على ضرورة تحقيق العدالة الاجتماعية والمساواة لذوي الإعاقة وضمان حياة كريمة لهم من خلال تعزيز سبل الدعم والتأهيل ورفع مستوى الوعي المجتمعي حول حقوقهم واحتياجاتهم.

The College of Pharmacy at Al-Nahrain University Organizes a Scientific Seminar on Disability, Its Causes, and Specialized Care
The Media and Government Communication Division at the College of Pharmacy, in collaboration with the Department of Media and Government Communication at the university presidency, organized a scientific seminar titled “Disability: Its Causes and Specialized Care.” The seminar was presented by Dr. Sahar Salman Mohammed, Dr. Kareem Abees Mohammed, and Dr. Muhannad Abdul Sahib Zaboon.
The seminar discussed the importance of supporting individuals with disabilities by providing an inclusive environment that enables them to live independently and actively participate in society. Key topics included social integration and independence, equal opportunities in education and employment, healthcare and psychological support, raising societal awareness, and developing skills and capabilities.
Additionally, the seminar addressed the causes of disability, such as genetic factors, pregnancy and birth complications, postnatal diseases and injuries, malnutrition, and environmental deprivation.
In conclusion, the discussion emphasized the necessity of achieving social justice and equality for individuals with disabilities, ensuring them a dignified life through enhanced support systems, rehabilitation programs, and increased public awareness of their rights and needs.
