نظم مركز بحوث التقنيات الأحيائية في جامعة النهرين دورة علمية بعنوان “الفحص البكتيري: استخدام التقنيات المختبرية المتقدمة”، بمشاركة عدد من الباحثين والمتخصصين في المجالات العلمية والطبية.
وتهدف الدورة إلى تقديم تدريب عملي مكثف للمشاركين، حيث تضمنت محاورها تشخيص البكتيريا باستخدام تقنيات حديثة مثل Remel، وتقييم حساسيتها للمضادات الحيوية، إضافةً إلى تحديد التراكيز المثبطة والقاتلة باستخدام تقنيتي MIC & MBC. كما شملت الدورة أساليب العد البكتيري للعينات السائلة والصلبة، مع تدريب المشاركين على حساب عدد المستعمرات البكتيرية باستخدام معادلات رياضية متخصصة.
وأقيمت الدورة تحت إشراف نخبة من تدريسيي قسم التقنيات الأحيائية البيئية، واختُتمت بتوزيع شهادات المشاركة على المتدربين من قبل الأستاذ الدكتور محمد محمود فرحان، مدير المركز، الذي أكد أهمية هذه الدورات في تعزيز مهارات الباحثين وتحسين جودة الأبحاث التطبيقية في مجال الفحوصات البكتيرية.

The Biotechnology Research Center at Al-Nahrain University Organizes a Workshop on Bacterial Testing Using Advanced Techniques
The Biotechnology Research Center at Al-Nahrain University organized a scientific workshop titled “Bacterial Testing: Utilizing Advanced Laboratory Techniques”, with the participation of researchers and specialists from various scientific and medical fields.
The workshop aimed to provide intensive hands-on training for participants, covering key topics such as bacterial identification using modern techniques like Remel, assessing bacterial sensitivity to antibiotics, and determining inhibitory and bactericidal concentrations using MIC & MBC techniques. It also included bacterial counting methods for liquid and solid samples, along with training on calculating bacterial colony counts using specialized mathematical equations.
The workshop was conducted under the supervision of a distinguished group of faculty members from the Department of Environmental Biotechnology. It concluded with the distribution of participation certificates by Prof. Dr. Mohammed Mahmoud Farhan, Director of the Center, who emphasized the importance of such workshops in enhancing researchers’ skills and improving the quality of applied research in bacterial testing.
