افتتحت كلية الهندسة في جامعة النهرين فعاليات الأسبوع الثقافي الأول، الذي أقامته الأمانة العامة للعتبة الحسينية المقدسة تحت عنوان “الجامعات ودورها في تعزيز متطلبات الأمن الفكري”، وذلك بحضور عدد من عمداء الكليات ونخبة من رجال الدين والعلماء والباحثين.
تضمن المهرجان إلقاء محاضرة من قبل ممثل العتبة الحسينية المقدسة الشيخ علي القرعاوي، الذي أكد فيها على دور الجامعات في تعزيز متطلبات الأمن الفكري، باعتبارها ركيزة أساسية لبناء أفكار علمية حديثة، وهو ما يتحقق من خلال المناهج الأكاديمية والأنشطة العلمية.
وشهدت الفعاليات إقامة معرض للصور، ومعرض للزهور، وعرض للمخطوطات القرآنية، بالإضافة إلى تقديم نبذة عن متحف الإمام الحسين (ع)، فضلًا عن ندوات حوارية، وجلسات بحثية، وعروض أفلام وثائقية، إلى جانب مشاركة فرقة الإنشاد.
ويهدف المهرجان إلى تعزيز دور الجامعات في الحفاظ على الهوية الثقافية، وزيادة التعاون بين المؤسسات التعليمية والدينية، ودعم الحوار الثقافي والفكري، فضلًا عن تعزيز البحث العلمي في مجال الأمن الفكري.

Al-Nahrain University Inaugurates the First Cultural Week of the Holy Hussainiya Shrine
The College of Engineering at Al-Nahrain University inaugurated the First Cultural Week, organized by the General Secretariat of the Holy Hussainiya Shrine under the title “Universities and Their Role in Enhancing the Requirements of Intellectual Security.” The event was attended by several college deans, as well as a distinguished group of religious scholars, academics, and researchers.
The festival featured a lecture by Sheikh Ali Al-Qaraawi, the representative of the Holy Hussainiya Shrine, who emphasized the role of universities in strengthening intellectual security as a fundamental pillar for developing modern scientific thought. He highlighted that this is achieved through academic curricula and scientific activities.
The event included a photography exhibition, a flower exhibition, a display of Quranic manuscripts, and an introduction to the Imam Hussain Museum, in addition to dialogue seminars, research sessions, and documentary film screenings, along with a performance by the Inshad (religious chanting) troupe.
The festival aimed to enhance the role of universities in preserving cultural identity, increase cooperation between educational and religious institutions, support cultural and intellectual dialogue, and promote scientific research in the field of intellectual security.
