نظم مركز بحوث التقنيات الأحيائية في جامعة النهرين ورشة علمية بعنوان “استخلاص وتنقية المركبات الفعالة في النباتات الطبية”، التي نظمتها وحدة التعليم المستمر في المركز بإشراف الأستاذ الدكتور محمد محمود فرحان، مدير عام المركز، وبمشاركة مجموعة من التدريسيين في قسم التقنيات الأحيائية النباتية.
هدفت الورشة إلى تعريف المشاركين بآليات الاستخلاص الحديثة، والتقنيات المتطورة لتنقية المركبات الطبية، ومدى فعاليتها الحيوية في التطبيقات المختلفة. كما تضمنت الورشة محاضرات علمية وتطبيقات عملية ساهمت في تعزيز فهم المشاركين لأحدث الأساليب المستخدمة في هذا المجال.
شهدت الورشة مشاركة عدد من الباحثين وطلبة الدراسات العليا من مختلف التشكيلات الأكاديمية والوزارات، تأكيدًا على أهمية تطوير المهارات البحثية في مجال التقنيات الأحيائية ودورها في دعم البحث العلمي.

The Biotechnology Research Center at Al-Nahrain University Organizes a Workshop on Extracting Active Compounds from Medicinal Plants
The Biotechnology Research Center at Al-Nahrain University organized a scientific workshop titled “Extraction and Purification of Active Compounds in Medicinal Plants”, which was organized by the Continuing Education Unit at the center under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Mahmoud Farhan, the Director General of the center, and with the participation of a group of faculty members from the Department of Plant Biotechnology.
The workshop aimed to introduce participants to modern extraction methods, advanced techniques for purifying medicinal compounds, and their biological effectiveness in various applications. The workshop included scientific lectures and practical applications, which contributed to enhancing participants’ understanding of the latest methods used in this field.
The workshop saw participation from several researchers and graduate students from various academic institutions and ministries, emphasizing the importance of developing research skills in the field of biotechnology and its role in supporting scientific research.
