نظّمت كلية العلوم السياسية بجامعة النهرين محاضرة علمية بعنوان “آلية النشر في المستوعبات العالمية Scopus وClarivate”، بهدف توعية الباحثين والأكاديميين بمتطلبات النشر في المستوعبات العلمية الرصينة، وشرح معايير القبول في هذه القواعد البحثية، إلى جانب توضيح سبل تحسين جودة الأبحاث وزيادة فرص نشرها في مجلات علمية معتمدة.
قدّم المحاضرة الأستاذ المساعد الدكتور حسين فيصل، معاون العميد للشؤون العلمية في كلية التمريض بجامعة البيان، حيث تناول عدة محاور رئيسية، أبرزها: أهمية المستوعبات العالمية في تصنيف الجامعات والمؤسسات الأكاديمية، المعايير الأساسية لقبول الأبحاث في مجلات Scopus وClarivate، كيفية اختيار المجلة المناسبة للنشر وتجنب المجلات المفترسة، بالإضافة إلى استراتيجيات تطوير جودة البحث العلمي بما يسهم في زيادة فرص قبوله للنشر.
واختُتمت الجلسة بتوصيات ركّزت على ضرورة تشجيع الباحثين على الالتزام بالمعايير الأكاديمية العالمية، وتعزيز التعاون البحثي بين المؤسسات الأكاديمية العراقية والدولية، مما يسهم في رفع مستوى الإنتاج العلمي وتعزيز مكانة الجامعات العراقية في التصنيفات العالمية.

College of Political Science at Al-Nahrain University Organizes a Lecture on the Mechanism of Publishing in Global Indexes
The College of Political Science at Al-Nahrain University organized a scientific lecture titled “The Mechanism of Publishing in Global Indexes: Scopus and Clarivate”, aiming to raise awareness among researchers and academics about the requirements for publishing in reputable global databases. The lecture also explained the acceptance criteria for these research platforms and clarified ways to improve research quality and increase publication opportunities in accredited scientific journals.
The lecture was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Hussein Faisal, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs at the College of Nursing, Al-Bayan University. He covered several key topics, including the importance of global indexes in ranking universities and academic institutions, the fundamental criteria for accepting research in Scopus and Clarivate journals, how to select the appropriate journal for publication while avoiding predatory journals, as well as strategies to enhance the quality of scientific research to increase its chances of publication.
The session concluded with recommendations emphasizing the need to encourage researchers to adhere to international academic standards and promote research collaboration between Iraqi and international academic institutions, contributing to the advancement of scientific output and enhancing the standing of Iraqi universities in global rankings.
