تحت شعار “القرآن ربيع القلوب”، نظّمت كلية الهندسة في جامعة النهرين احتفالاً سنوياً بمناسبة اليوم الوطني للقرآن الكريم، بحضور رئيس الجامعة الأستاذ الدكتور علي عبد العزيز الشاوي، ومساعد رئيس الجامعة للشؤون الإدارية الأستاذ الدكتور علاء حسين، وعميد كلية الهندسة الأستاذ الدكتور جمعة سلمان، وعضو اللجنة العليا للقرآن الكريم الدكتور رافع العامري، إلى جانب جمع من التدريسيين والطلبة.
تضمّن الحفل إلقاء محاضرات علمية قدّمها مختصون في علوم القرآن الكريم، تناولت أساليب الأداء القرآني العلمي، وفنون التجويد، وطرق حفظ وتلاوة القرآن الكريم. كما اشتمل البرنامج على تلاوات قرآنية وابتهالات دينية، بالإضافة إلى تكريم نخبة من قرّاء القرآن الكريم والطلبة المتميزين في حفظه.
وخلال كلمته، أكّد الأستاذ الدكتور علي عبد العزيز الشاوي أهمية القيم الروحية والعلمية التي يشكّلها القرآن الكريم كأساس للثقافة والأخلاق في المجتمع العراقي، مشدداً على دور الجامعات في نشر المعرفة وتعزيز الوعي الروحي بين الطلبة.
ويهدف هذا الاحتفال إلى ترسيخ مكانة القرآن الكريم في قلوب الطلبة، وتعزيز ارتباطهم بالتعاليم الدينية السامية، وزيادة الوعي الديني لدى الحاضرين. كما يأتي في إطار دعم القيم الدينية والعلمية وتشجيع الطلبة على الاهتمام بعلوم القرآن الكريم كجزء من مسيرتهم الأكاديمية.

Al-Nahrain University Organizes an Annual Celebration on the Occasion of the National Day of the Holy Quran
Under the slogan “The Quran is the Spring of Hearts,” the College of Engineering at Al-Nahrain University organized an annual celebration on the occasion of the National Day of the Holy Quran. The event was attended by the University President, Prof. Dr. Ali Abdulaziz Al-Shawi, the Assistant President for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Alaa Hussein, the Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Jumaa Salman, a member of the Higher Committee for the Holy Quran, Dr. Rafi Al-Amiri, along with a number of faculty members and students.
The celebration included scientific lectures delivered by specialists in Quranic sciences, focusing on the methods of scientific Quranic recitation, the arts of Tajweed, and techniques for memorizing and reciting the Holy Quran. The program also featured Quranic recitations, religious chants, and the honoring of distinguished Quran reciters and outstanding students in Quran memorization.
In his speech, Prof. Dr. Ali Abdulaziz Al-Shawi emphasized the spiritual and scientific values that the Holy Quran represents as the foundation of culture and ethics in Iraqi society. He also highlighted the role of universities as centers for spreading knowledge and enhancing spiritual awareness among students.
The event aimed to strengthen the status of the Holy Quran in the hearts of students, enhance their connection to noble religious teachings, and raise religious awareness among the attendees. It also comes as part of efforts to promote religious and scientific values and encourage students to engage with Quranic sciences within their academic journey.
