Preparation of Anorthite from Local Raw Iraqi Materials

  The study concern with using local Kaolin of Duekhla to prepare Anorthite material. The sequence of study started with washing, chemical treatment and sedimentation to produce a fine powder by passing the product through a special sieve (less than 20 µm).then after this step dividing the fine powder product into two groups, the first group with out heat treatment and the second with heat treatment (calcinations) at 400 oC.

Design of an Einzel Lens Using Non-Classical Variation Technique

   A computational investigation has been carried  out in  the  field  of  charged-particle  optics.  The work  is concerned with the design of einzel (uni potential)  lens by using non-classical variation method under different magnification conditions.The potential field distribution of the einzel lens has been represented by an analytical function. The paraxial ray equation has been solved for finding the short beam trajectory of the charged particles traversing the lens.

     A computational investigation has been carried out in the field of charged-particle optics. The work is concerned with the design of electrostatic lenses with and without misalignment effect operated under different magnification conditions.The potential field distributions of einzel and immersion electrostatic lenses have been represented by analytic functions. The paraxial ray equation has been solved for the proposed fields to determine the trajectory of the charged particles traversing each lens.

Simulation of Buildup Factor for Bremsstrahlung Produced by Complete Absorption of Beta Rays

        The Monte Carlo simulation method has been applied to generate the first data for bremsstrahlung buildup factor (BBUF) produced by the complete absorption of beta particles in different materials. The bremsstrahlung buildup factor was computed by the present method for different thicknesses of water, concrete, aluminum, tin and lead at the maximum bremsstrahlung energy of 2.2 MeV for 90Sr/90Y beta source.
