Abstract:

The e-Government is about reinventing the way in which governments interact with citizens, governmental agencies, businesses, employees, and other stakeholders. It is about enhancing the democratic process and also about using new ideas to make life easier for citizens. The proposed system presented in this thesis named E-government Workflow models a dynamic website application and presents a prototype of the content management web pages. E-government Workflow it's a software platform that enables the employees of different agencies of the government to communicate with each other using internet, where the employees can send and receive mails between each other by using web forms rather than using the old fashioned way "Whitepapers”, which will enhance the services between the government's agencies. The tools used for development include ASP.NET 2.0 which provides a framework to develop dynamic web application and it’s part of .Net 2.0, C# (pronounced C sharp) it is the programming language used to build the web forms, SQL SERVER 2005 is the database management system (DBMS) that is used to store the dynamic data for the web site and finally Internet Information Service (IIS) is the web server where this application is deployed to. The application built in this thesis has led to conclude that by using Egovernment workflow as a platform to send and receive electronic messages between the government agencies, has enhanced the performance of the work, decreased the waiting time for the employees and decreased the cost.
