The scientific and academic achievements of AL-Nahrain University on the local ,regional and international levels are in progress.The President of AL-Nahrain University , Prof.Dr.Nabeel Kadim Abid Al-Sahib has got the international Socrates Award for Character of the Science and Learning among the 50 Global Characters in the formal offer Nahrain University receives . It is a ward which is given by Oxford University in cooperation with the Institution of European business men. This award is given to the winner within a celebration participated by a set of states and the scientific characters represented by giving the winner the award shield and its certificate. This award stands for the institutions of the scientific and academic research and Nahrain university has a reached to the research , academic and scientific levels by the Iraqi efficiencies .These represent a real support for the accomplished achievements of the President of Nahrain University as the academic , scientific character on the international level and a motivation for the development the knowledgeable work , especially in the international level.
It is mentioned that Prof.Dr. Dr.Nabeel Kadim Abid Al-Sahib has got the PhD of mechanical engineering , many medals , the international and local awards , many international research and academic participations, supervising on many Master and PhD students , discussing many master dissertations and PhD theses ,publishing more than 25 methodological writings and more than 50 researches in his specialization, occupying many academic positions such as a dean on Al-Khwaruzmi Engineering College /Baghdad University and President of and Dhi Qar and Nahrain Universities
