Al-Nahrain College of Medicine holds a symposium on Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension Al-Nahrain Media / Nada Omran

Under the auspices of the Dean, Prof. Dr. Alaa Ghani Hussein, and with the presence of doctors of Al-Imamain Al-Kathimain Medical City, and a number of the college specialized professors, Al-Nahrain College of Medicine held a scientific symposium about pulmonary arterial hypertension discussing the causes of the disease and the latest therapeutic updates,
The Dean stated that, the symposium was held as a part of the activities of Internal Medicine Branch, dealing with the pulmonary arterial hypertension and the latest therapeutic updates.
Two professors presented lectures to explain the disease dimensions and its treatment methods. Prof Dr. Rafid Basheer Al-Taweel dealt with the definition of the disease and its causes, classification, diagnosis, treatment, and the latest therapeutic updates, and then Prof. Dr. Muayad Bashir participated in presenting a lecture dealing with some sophisticated disease issues.
The audience interacted with the raised information and presented a number of questions and inquiries for lecturers in an attempt to gain important information about the disease.
The symposium included with a package of recommendations, including, early diagnosis of the disease to ease cure of patients, examination process of heart and pulmonary artery to confirm diagnosis of the disease and to know its kind, as well as to be alert to the issue of idiopathic dyspnea, for it is one of the symptoms of pulmonary arterial hypertension.
