Al-Nahrain University has signed a joint scientific and academic memorandum of understanding with Al-Mustaqbal University, as part of its efforts to expand horizons of scientific cooperation and strengthen institutional partnerships between public and private universities, in line with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the University Presidency’s vision to support integration and exchange of expertise.
The memorandum is signed during the reception of the President of Al-Nahrain University, Prof.Dr.Ali Abdulaziz Al-Shawi, for the delegation of Al-Mustaqbal University headed by Prof.Dr.Hassan Shaker Majdi, in the presence of the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Prof.Dr.Omar Farouk Abdul Rasheed, and a number of college deans.
The meeting witnesses discussions on prospects for joint scientific and research cooperation and an exchange of views on activating partnerships between corresponding colleges and research centers at the two universities, in a way that contributes to enhancing scientific research, integrating academic programs, and developing the educational environment.
The memorandum of understanding includs conducting joint scientific research, participating in conferences, symposiums, and workshops, exchanging academic visits, joint supervision of postgraduate students, building the capacities of teaching staff, organizing summer training programs for students, and updating curricula, in a manner that enhances the quality of higher education and achieves a sustainable scientific and developmental impact.
