Under the sponsorship of Prof.Dr.Anees Khalil Nail ,the dean of the college, , Branch of Surgery at College of Medicine , Al-Nahrain University organizes an awareness lecture for students entitled Working in Hospital: Obstacles and Solutions presented byAsst.Prof.Dr.Oday Khalid Abd al-Jaber , a Consultant Psychiatrist.
The lecture addresses the major psychological and professional challenges that students may face the students during their clinical training .The main themes includes: The role of the student in the hospital and the boundaries of his/her professional responsibility ; human dealing with the patients and their families in accordance with medical ethics ,work-related stress and its potential impact on mental health; the importance of teamwork and active communication with the medical staff and psychological and behavioural strategies to cope with the pressures of clinical stage.
This lecture is part of a series of development activities organized by the college to enhance the psychological and professional skills of its students and prepare them efficiently. for the medical job market.
